Desired Wealth

Here comes my list of desired wealth, or more precisely my desired material wealth. You will find a wide spectrum, from the most basic forms (food, shelter, health…) up to those that invite beauty, goodness, truth, and support the most creative expression of my being. I have chosen not to acquire junk. I support quality – which I see as different from luxury – and I would rather forgo an object than acquire one of poor quality, made under harmful ecological and human conditions.

This list may offer you the opportunity to contemplate your own thoughts while reading it. For instance:

• Doesn't the gift economy imply that I live off my friends and society at large?
• Why do I mix what serves survival with other, non-vital things?

An advanced paragliding course

Paragliding fuels a passion of mine, a bird's dream that never fades. These advanced courses sharpen my technique and safety.

Estimated cost: 1000€, all fees included.

Clothing

Ethical, technical, elegant, nomadic — the four criteria I follow for dressing. Not easy; it takes real research and thought. Ethical: respectful of the environment, vegan. Technical: solid, durable, and built for a precise function. Elegant: it never hurt anyone. Nomadic: for those who travel a lot, like me.

This makes for clothes that often cost more but last longer.

A home music studio

I have dreamed of this forever, and all this music playing in my head, I would love to produce it. Home studios offer this small miracle.

Estimate the investment at 3,000–5,000€.

A year to finish my book

What will happen over the next 100 years? What if human consciousness took an incredible leap? Thanks to what, and to whom? Here comes the story I want to tell: the transformation of our species and its consciousness, through a life adventure that will take them to the far edges of the world and of themselves.

This book requires a full year of my undivided attention to finish. Would you like to contribute to making it happen?

A Systema seminar in Toronto

I practice and teach this extraordinary Russian martial art called "Systema". It rests on complete bodily relaxation in extreme contexts. To keep progressing, I regularly join international instructor seminars, based in Toronto and Moscow.

Count a budget of around 2000€, covering travel, accommodation, and the seminar itself.

Website maintenance

My website needs regular upgrades (design, technical work…) and servers.

My little haven in Provence

Thanks to the generosity of others, I live in a lovely place in Provence. A peaceful spot to write, rest between trips, and share precious moments with those I love.

Yearly: 12,000€ (1,000€/month) – you can contribute for a month, a quarter, a year…

A piano for music composition

These Yamaha pianos no longer just record the digital sound of what you play, but the real movement of your fingers on the keys. They can reproduce these movements, and of course turn them into a score. Music composition will take an important place in my life.

Depending on the configuration, the investment ranges from 10 to 30k€, covering the piano and the home studio.

International legal counsel

The gift economy, as a system and a way of living, has no real place in current laws. I would love to work with a lawyer or legal expert who feels drawn to these questions and wants to explore new possibilities within the law. What legal entities could we create? What status for the person? How do we open the way for others? How do we avoid paying taxes that feed war and other inhumane causes? How do we direct wealth toward just causes?
