Time travel from the post-monetary society
I received an invitation to speak in front of 600 people who have decision making positions in their organizations. This event takes places in Toulouse, South of France, 4th of December 2012, and has the name of “Nuit des Réseaux” — something like “the Networks Night” in English. My talk will not look like a usual conference because I will come from… the future. I will tell how society evolved by freeing itself from money. I come as a witness and a teller. I meet a new exercise here, it feels attractive and confronting me to the unknown. Unknown within myself as I don’t know much about my skills as a teller (I have no practice of it), unknown because of the challenge I undertake, as I have not heard whatsoever of anyone telling...
Read MoreDid these men crash the world?
I wholeheartedly recommend this excellent 4 parts documentary called “Meltdown” from Al Jazeera. Part one is below. It explains with many details how the top finance lords have deployed their most subtle and vicious art as predators that eventually lead to the 1988 crash. No need to be a Nobel Prize economist to understand the systemic outcomes of this giant casino, and how decisions of a few men who where never elected sent millions of others into the streets. Common sense is enough to get the picture. In this first episode, we follow four men who brought down the global economy: a billionaire mortgage-seller who fooled millions; a high-rolling banker with a fatal weakness; a ferocious Wall Street predator; and the power behind the throne during...
Read MoreSpeaking at TEDx Paris 2011
Speaking at TEDx Paris has been a challenge for me. How is it possible to share the free currencies vision in 12 minutes? TED even asks for much more. It’s not just about concepts and views, we have to allow emotional intelligence, balance the right and left brain, share about the personal journey… Whatever the outcome would be, this was a wonderful invitation to grow, refine my expression, help me find unknown paths inside myself. An initiatory journey that I took joyfully, surrounded and coached by the wonderful founders of TEDx Paris. Their feedback was always accurate and benevolent. I had to carefully select what I should say and not say. Each milestone in the discourse had to be timed and carefully weighted, while not being spoken by heart, but...
Read MoreFeudalism and money
Last September 2010 my dear friend and brother Eric Harris-Braun wrote a wonderful post on his blog called “A story about expressive capacity“, which I strongly recommend that anyone interested in the economic shift should read. Thanks Eric for this wonderful post! Another story we may want to link to the one written by Eric is the 100% isomorphism between feudal power on the land and feudal power on money. The feudalism based on land has moved to feudalism on money. The idea I want to stress here is not much political or sociological, but ontological. If we place ourselves in the shoes (if they had some) of a serf or peasant of the 9th-15th centuries, land was inseparable from a lord (more precisely the lords-vassals-fiefs order). In the inner...
Read MoreOne year after the Vow of Wealth
More than a year has passed since Sept. 7 2009, the day when the Vow of Wealth entered into my life. Although this vow came as something obvious, it was difficult at the time to have any idea of the path that would lead to its practical implementation, specially in regards to migrating from conventional money towards free currencies. The Vow of Wealth is a spiritual experience, a commitment towards the infinite wealth that surrounds us as an inherent manifestation of the Universe. Leaving conventional money –Euros and everything related– is an incidental application of this vow. It is connected to my epoch and to the way I decided to act and express myself. Someone else could take this same vow and manifest it differently. The Vow of Wealth...
Read MoreUSA next November 2010?
During my last long trip to the US, many things happened in regards to serving the emergence of free currencies. These trips cost a lot of conventional money. The last one in September 2010 placed TheTransitoner in a delicate financial situation, as it was not financed by other sources of income as we usually did in the past. Although this trip was not “reasonable” from the mental-rational-accounting perspective, it was absolutely right when I looked at it from my soul. That’s why I did it, and I have no regrets. It opened so many new paths and created so much wealth! Isn’t it interesting that we live in the world where big wealth can be generated while we can end up bankrupt? Money is just abstract numbers that come and go, wealth is what...
